freedom from work week: november 20-24

last week, all of us in HR were asked to schedule our mandatory consecutive 5-day leaves. i don't know if it's just banks that do this, or not. anyway, i scheduled mine from nov. 20-24, monday to friday. long enough for me to take a vacation or a short fun course or whatever. well, these are some of the things that i've thought of doing so far:

1. visit ateneo - walk around, get my long-overdue diploma that has not yet been signed by our dean as of mid-september, buy a couple of non-academic books, eat at manang's, & look for the professors who made my college life a face-to-face encounter with both heaven & hell. pass by UP on the way home, eat isaw, fishballs, & rodic's tapsilog. pure bliss. : )
2. get a headstart on my Christmas shopping - for myself. hehe!
3. go on any of the trips on www.travelryt.com that i've been eyeing since summer.
4. spend a day availing of my medical card's benefits by visiting the derma & the dentist (among other medical practitioners). & if i'm in the mood to be uber responsible, i'll even wake up extra early & line up at SSS baclaran first to get my picture taken for my ID.
5. go on a retreat for yuppies (if i could find one, that is).
6. just stay at home, & aim for the couch potato of the year award, with the aid of borrowed gilmore girls/seventh heaven/desperate housewives vcd's/dvd's.

any suggestions?

any suggestions on what else i can do, or where else i can go? thanks! :)

ayus ah.. well, everyone gets 15 days naman, pero kami wala kami nyang 5 consecutive na required na VL! hmm.. your plans sound ok, pero i guess try to do something out of town. para naman malayo ka sa city at sa work tlaga! =D

feeling ko bitin pa din lalabas yun break, haha... wala lang :) get lots of rest - parang sayang yung consecutive days na break pero makakatulong din naman siya siyo kahit papano :)

you're spoiling my fun that hasn't even begun. wow, that rhymes! hehe! :)

don't worry, i intend to get lots of rest. teka, baka pwede kang magbakasyon around that time? kita naman tayo. kamusta na ba si candy?

at least for now...

(malamang babalik sa mundong yun before the end of the month, oh well...)

ikwekwento ko siya sa blog ko within the week, pero sa ngayon, minus my pending endorsement and clearance on monday, unemployed (at bum) na naman ako :D (yes, kahit gano kalabo siya isipin, masaya akong wala akong trabaho, for now...)

okay, i'll be waiting for that. :)
